photo basel returns to Berlin – as part of Berlin Art Week 2025

Maciej Markowicz (born in 1981 in Nowy Sącz, Poland) has revolutionized the Camera Obscura technique in contemporary art through his innovative mobile approach. Working with vehicles outfitted as floating camera obscuras— whether vans or barges—Markowicz creates unique photographic works based on the fundamental principles of photography: light and photosensitive material.
